Tinnitus Treatment

Any tinnitus treatment will depend on the cause and how bothersome it may be for you.  Some patients are simply relieved to know they are not the only ones bothered by noises in the ears.  Others are grateful for the validation of their condition.   

For the bothersome cases, however, intervention is required.  It may be as simple as a white noise generator to help with falling asleep.  Or hearing aids may be in order, especially if there is hearing loss present.  Some hearing aids have the capabilities of distracting the wearer of their tinnitus by mixing in masking, or soothing sounds.  Your provider can provide more information and a personalized solution.
